Planning a Vintage Wedding in the Winter?
I am getting married December 4, 2010 and I know that I want a vintage inspired wedding. I have been doing a lot of research about winter weddings. I have noticed that winter wedding colors are usually the typical winter colors like silvers blues and whites. Or reds and greens and black. They are all dark colors or colors of ice and cold. None of these really are something I would pick. The colors I really want are a dusty rose, cream/ivory, and a light antique gold. My question is are these colors stupid for a December wedding. I live in the rocky mountains and there will be snow on the ground. I also am struggling with decor that is vintage, not tacky, and wouldn't be stupid in the winter. Any suggestions. I don't want flower centerpieces if I can avoid them.

16th birthday party ideas? (10 points)?
I've just started planning my "Sweet Sixteen" party for next summer because I want it to be perfect. I've never really had a big party, so I want this one to top them all... I just don't know what I really want to do. I love anything black and white and vintagey. I only have a few friends and a HUGE family, so I figured I'd just invite everyone I know to this one party, and either have it at my house, or at the town hall. Again, my favorite colors are black and white, and purple. I love vintage patterns, and anything antique. I though maybe we could have one of those old looking popcorn machines, and ... I'm not sure about foods, entertainment, or decorations yet. That's what I'm asking you for. I've never really planned a party like this before. So PLEASE help. Ten points! 
You should have pictures of old movie stars on the walls like audrey hepburn if its going to be vintage style. Then you should have one of those record players with the horn to play the music and have everyone dress up in like 20's -40' outfits. My cousin had a murder mystery party and its was themed in the 20's. Different people have to play different roles and you have to make sure the people can make it or else the whole party won't work.
