why do i get air bubbles on a painted surface?
i have recently painted a newly plastered ceiling and air bubbles have formed on the painted surface. why do these occur and how to avoid them?
in your case i dont think the plaster is fully dry, sounds like its still oxidising........drying out! leave it a couple more weeks rub out the marks and try again..........

Chemical Brothers - Surface to Air (final version)
Do Wonders in a Jiffy With Air Hammer to Get That Ease
Air hammer is a wonderful piece of innovation that has turned the task of craftsmen extremely easy and simple. The shaping a piece of metal is now an instant task for craftsmen by an air hammer, instead of spending hours or days, besides saving enormous physical strain. Air hammers plant intense force on a metal piece to see things being wrapped up awfully quickly than when the same task is carried out by hand.
Among the two types of air hammers the hand held ones are attached to an air tank through of a tube to further send pressurised air to the head of the hammer. Such hammers commonly get exploited in households, small factories and motor repairing shops.
Contrary to hand held hammers, the stationary air hammers are recognised for their giant size and more powerful nature. Such hammers are utilised for mass and heavy duty work and normally get utilised in factories where bulk manufacturing takes place for vehicles or other machineries.
An air hammer comprises diverse heads for different actions. A hammer head sees its utility in shaping or smoothing work, while a chisel head gets priority for scoring or cutting work. Such hammers are extremely handy on the one side; they can also be pretty dangerous tools. Hence, the users are forever supposed to take extreme precaution while using these hammers.
Depending on the work and the sort of target metal, the pressure also differs in the air hammer. Low pressure gets used while taking up simple smoothing jobs, and also while working on soft metals like aluminum and copper. Much more pressure finds its way and also exerted through proper air hammer while the work is executed on more stiff metals like stainless steel or iron. High pressure is also required at the time of doing shaping jobs.
Shaping and smoothening a surface, digging holes and cutting through surfaces are some of the foremost tasks done with air hammers. All these functions are effectively executed through air hammers by using the principle of pressurized air that assists them to delve deeper into any surface. You can expect air hammer in different sizes, varying from sizes of a hair dryer to a computer monitor. The prices of the air hammers also depend on the size of the tools.
Certain key factors need to be considered well before heading to shop for air hammers. Make sure not to return with either very heavy or very light air hammer, as both might pose problems by making the task incredibly cumbersome or less effective.

Great stuff you've posted. Watch the methane angle , which looks to be an underreported but crucial part of the leaks, possibly more dangerous than the oil itself. Methane occurs naturally at places at the bottom of the Gulf, forms an environmentally nasty hydrate when exposed for modest periods to water. Methane by itself of course contributes to global warming and if large quantities move from the bottom of the Gulf to the surface and then the air above the surface, there's a whole other disaster.

Both ideas are correct. There is internal transmission through the structure of the head and sometimes through the air in the eustachian tube, and there is also external transmission through the outside air. Try plugging your ears and speaking; you'll hear the voice pitch and even most of the consonants, although you'll notice that the higher frequencies are attenuated compared to what you hear via the air path.
Note that external transmission does not depend exclusively on reflection to reach your ears although reflection contributes signicantly. You can speak in an anechoic chamber and hear yourself just fine. Enough sound is refracted by the externals of your head to reach your ears at an understandable level.
