Do you think Designer (high end) purses and shoes are worth the money? see below?
Only if you can afford them...not if you have to put them on credit cards or go into debt for them.
I buy them because they last forever and I've worked hard my entire life. I give my handbags to friends before I purchase another one and limit my collection to just 30. Anytime I get over 30 I force myself to purge and give the extras away. Shoes I'm not so good about. My collection is back up over 200 pairs again. My Hubby will make me give away about 50 or 60 pairs when he sees my closet again..but I always do. I don't but any when I hit 200 pairs until I get rid of some. I keep them in excellent condition so when I pass them on they are like new.
girl we're in tha same boat! i currently have over 150 pairs of shoes from steve madden to gucci to christian louboutin and everything in between! i am also a hand bag addict too (love love love louis vuitton) i'm also super into fashion... and i agree w/ you i think designer high end stuff is just made better and lasts longer! i too give away stuff when my hubby says i have too much! he made a rule that i can't bring something in the house w/ out first giving away one thing! but to answer your question... yeah high end is the best way to go it lasts longer and if you have the money and aren't going to go into debt to get it then as long as you're paying your bills who cares what you buy!? i never buy anything over $200.00 unless i have cash money w/ me....

How do i get my Girlfriend to stop purging herself?
She hardly ever does it at all. maybe 1 or 2 times a week if that. she only does it if she eats something fattening like chocolate or ice cream.
she is really healthy and works out at the gym quite a bit. and has an excellent diet besides when she indulges on comfort food once in awhile and vomits it up.
is she putting herself in danger by rarely ever purging? thanks.
yes, anytime someone who plurges it hurts their body, if she continues and it becomes a lon term thing she could end up with life thretening heart and many other organ diseases. My advise is to tell you grlfriend that you don't want to see her get hurt, and that you wish that she would stop, if she is smart she will listen, if she cant controll her indulgence in comfort foods in moderation then give her some healthy ideas that include comfort foods like chocolate, for examole special k chocolate cereal, they also have chocolate snack and meal bars, or try switching to light chocolate ice cream, the good thing about light ice cream is that you can hardly tell the difference. try to motivate her to try healthier foods that are less in cals and fat rather thatn letting her plurge, like i said it's going to hurt her!!
Purge is excellent but VERY heart-rending. Almost too harrowing to read at times – or so I found.
