Good Actionscript 3 book?
Hey there. I have recently dove into Flash. I have CS3 Pro(Nice getting educational discounts huh? lol) Anyway, I went through the stuff from Total Training, which is a great program by the way, but I want to get into some more advanced stuff as well as learning the AS3 language. I love PHP so I figure AS3 should not be that hard to learn.
I have looked at the book "Essential Actionscript 3.0" by Colin Moock in the bookstore and it looks good. Says it's for everyone from basic beginners all the way to advanced AS2 programmers looking to switch. Plus it seems to go over everything.
I also looked at "ActionScript 3 in Adobe Flash CS3 Professional Hands-On Training" but it does not seem to go into as much detail(which is what I want).
Right now I'm leaning toward the first one just because it looks exhaustive. What do you think?
Colin Moock's book is considered to be THE book in the flash community. It truly is essential.
There are other good books on the subject that can expand your knowledge, depending on what you want to do with Flash (web design, games, ads, etc.) but "Essential Actionscript 3.0" should be the base of all your study. Get it, you won't regret it.

Live in a Dive $13.98 Live in a Dive sees the New York City hardcore stalwarts at San Francisco's Bottom of the Hill in November 2001 doing what they'd done for the preceding dozen-plus years: leveling the joint with their powerful hardcore. The nearly two dozen tracks run through every era of the band's history, with five tracks from the Blood, Sweat & No Tears debut, four tracks from the band's then recent Yours Truly, and multiple cuts from everything else in between, making this as comprehensive as any best-of compilation would hope to be, but with the energy of the band's concert experience bleeding through the speakers. A must for a fan, a good starting point for a novice, and not nearly as disposable as most concert recordings are. ~ Brian O'Neill, All Music GuidePerformers: Lou - Vocals |

Live at the Dive $13.98 With a decade-plus career that roots all the way back before their appearance in the underground film Suburbia, DI have made a landmark in the sound of Southern California punk to maintain legendary status along with the likes of Black Flag, the Circle Jerks, Agent Orange and the Descendants. And with Live at the Dive these guys can prove that they can still rock out after over ten years in the business and still compete with the next generation of whipper snappers -- not doubting that their revolving door lineup has benefited to their energy. But no matter who's in DI now, vocalist Casey Royer has the same excitement to pump up an audience, even if he's been playing the same songs night after night for so many years. But with classics like "O.C. Life," "Johnny's Got a Problem," "Guns" and "Richard Hung Himself" featured here, DI can prove that with enough enthusiasm every night, their set never gets old. Despite some moments that register high on the cheese factor, like the MC before the show wanting to see the audience "erupt like the flaming pits of hell," and Royer having the audience scream out "USA," Live at the Dive is a long overdue "best of live" album that captures the highlights of the band's career with accompanied live energy. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music GuidePerformers: Alfie Agnew - Guitar, Vocals (Background); Dan Colburn - Bass; Sean Elliot - Guitar, Vocals (Background); Casey Royer - Vocals, Voices |

Swan Dive $15.28 The duo of singer Molly Felder and guitarist Bill DeMain, plus a complement of rhythm, occasional strings and horns, and bassist Brad Jones, comprise Swan Dive. They play power pop, on many occasions recalling hippie musings of the late '60s with occasional jazz elements and distinct folk influences รก la Joni Mitchell. Felder has a preciously sweet voice; it's crystal clear and decisive, like Edie Brickell sans the mystery. They stand firmly in the singer/songwriter camp on "The Day That I Went Home," on the simple vocal/acoustic guitar duet "Luckiest Girl in the World," and on the personalized, other-woman syndrome "Charade," the latter with strumming guitars and highway harmonica from Pat Bergeson which punctuates the lyrics. Swan Dive likes to use different instrumental sounds to set up their songs: There's minimalist marimba on "Better to Fly" and chamber strings for "Goodbye September," while flute-powered, vibes-brightened cha-cha pop informs "Ordinary Day." Delicate, breezy woodwinds define "And She Dreams," while clattery tin-pan and electric sounds buoy their CD-enhanced take of Blondie's "Heart of Glass." DeMain breathily sings three numbers upfront: the stringed pop of "Rome Will Fall," the softly focused "Sweet Enemy," and the mediocre, flower-power tune "Groovy Tuesday," complete with references to 1969. There's also "Circle," a pseudo R&B, Chicago-type number, and the funky "Mood Swinging," replete with trumpeter Bill Rosengarden talking back to saxophonist Jim Hoke in the brief Blood, Sweat & Tears-style bridge. Swan Dive presents songs of love, regret, and reminiscence. Apparently a hit in Japan, they now tackle America with a retro-pop that recalls a kinder, gentler style. ~ Michael G. Nastos, All Music GuidePerformers: Pat Bergeson - Harmonica; Chris Carmichael - Viola, Violin; Fenner Castner - Drums (Snare), Tympani [Timpani]; Mickey Grimm - Drums (Snare), Percussion, Tympani [Timpani]; David Henry - Cello; Neal Rosengarden - Flugelhorn, Trumpet; Bill DeMain - Guitar, Keyboards, Singer, Vocals; Robin Eaton - Guitar (Baritone); |

Intro to the Oceanic ProPlus 2 Online Specialty Class
What kind of good shampoo should I use?
Well, I live in Egypt, and any of the really good brands are kinda too pricy. So the kind of shampoos that I've tried (that aren't too pricy) are: Dove, Pantene Pro-v, Head and Shoulders, Pert-Plus, Sunsilk and...I think that's it.
I just got blonde highlights on my brown hair last week, and now I'm even more unsure to what shampoo I should be using because can it affect my highlights? I'd just like to know everyone's opinion to what shampoo is best.
herbal essecnces has a shampoo & conditioner just for color treated hair and its not too bad. if you are really going cheap then try suave its about 99 cents and alot of people love it
here is a site that will show you what i use and it even has coupons
