What is the newest (or most interesting) piece of fishing gear that you actually use?

Mine is trout stomach pump. That my wife is going to get my for my stocking. I've explained exactly what it and where to buy it. I'm hoping to be using it the week of Christmas...
Dawg -- heh heh, it's not what it sounds like. A trout stomach pump basically a glorified eye dropper. You put some stream water in it, gently shoot a little down the trout's gullet and then let the suction pull in some of the contents of trout's stomach. From this you can better determine what the fish are eating on a given day. Lotsa people do the same thing by simply cleaning the fish and then cutting open the stomach. This is a way to do it without harming the fish.
