Aquatec ERP1000 Permeate Pump $108.13 No electricity required powered only by hydraulic energy normally lost to drain. Improves water quality by insuring membrane efficiency. Improves membrane life prevents TDS creep . Increases product tank pressure (up to 95 of feed pressure). For all membranes rated 10 120 GPD. Effective for inlet water pressures as low as 30 PSI. Powered by hydraulic energy from brine water usually lost to the drain (i.e. no electricity required) the Permeate Pump pushes more purified water into the storage tank reducing membrane back pressure therefore maximizing available feed pressure. This pump dramatically improves the membranes production reducing wastewater by 80 or more. Basically if an R.O. system requires 10 Gallons of tap water to produce 1 Gallon of pure water (10: 1) the Permeate Pump should reduce this ratio below 3: 1. GE Osmonics GE 1240632 Merlin Aquatec Booster Pump $354.75 The GE Merlin Booster Pump 1240632 increases line pressure up to 60 psi. The pump is used on the supply line. We strongly recommend the GE Merlin booster pump with all GE Merlin purchases because the Merlin operates best at 60 psi. The Merlin pump is a special variable speed pump that is made especially for the membranes in the Merlin system. If your feed water pressure is below 45 psi the GE Merlin Pressure Booster Pump is a required part for the GE Merlin RO System to operate properly. The GE Merlin reverse osmosis system works on water pressures of 40 psi (2.8 bar) minimum to 80 psi (5.5 bar) maximum. Water pressure can be reduced by installing a pressure reducing valve in the water supply pipe to the RO system. This GE Merlin booster pump should be used for low pressure applications. Continuous cycling of the pump is normal when the pump is used with the GE Merlin system.
