High Pressure Regulator Why is the pressure relief valve on my high pressure regulator blowing at low pressure?
I have an argon tank that was pressurized to about 2800PSI, set up for use with a TIG welder. Upon opening the Argon tank, the 3000PSI safety valve begins releasing gas at a rapid rate, yet the tank pressure remains less than 3000PSI. There is not a problem with the flow regulator itself, 2 different units have been tried. What could possibly cause a safety valve malfunction in two seperate regulator units?
Both Gauges were recently serviced
Each gauge was rated for 1000psi over the standard level
The system at current had been working without a problem for about 25 years
Argon boils at -305 deg F in the atmosphere.
leakage is normal on a liquid tank on start up.
But it should stop within a few seconds.
that temp can shrink many metals and seat material.
If it is continious replace the relief.
Think about this, If the relief was bad it would go off in a static condition.

Do I have a bad fuel pressure regulator?
These are the symptoms.Map sensor code(high) and o2 sensor rich. The plugs are fuel fouled,sprays gas out of the throttle body and the car stalls, and won't go over 25mph. This car is a 1988 Buick skylark.
I changed the bad plugs, put a new o2 sensor in it. It ran a little better for a few minutes, then I suppose the plugs became fouled again. I was going to do a fuel pressure test, but none of the part stores had one availible to rent until tommarow.
I bought a FPR and will break the throttle body tommarow down, replace the regulator and clean the tb. If that isn't the problem, what should i do next?
Could be, but its most likely a "chain" of malfunctions in the fuel system. First of all, git rid of the bad plugs, Your throttle body is ether rusted away,(leaving cracks in the housing), clogged, or a few hoses are bad or not installed properly. Or the inertia switch has been tripped (Which I doubt)
