What kind of air compressor should I be looking for?

I need to buy an air compressor for filling tires. I want something strong enough to deliver air quickly, like a shop air compressor, but not so large that it's unwieldy and high maintenance. What should i look for? Is it true some compressors can shoot out oil or moisture through the hose, and into the tire? The gas station that I go to can inflate tires about 1 psi a second on a 235/65 16 tire. I'd like to have something near this performance.

you could go to home depot and get a little five gallon tank air comp that would probably do pretty good...good luck

What size air compressor is suitable to use to spraypaint a car?

i recently sprayed my car and on the top of the doors it is glossy and down the doors it is dull,what went wrong?i mixed the paint properly and sprayed at the right distance with a proper spray gun...please someone help ,i am thinking the air compressor didnt have enough pressure

WHAT WENT WRONG IS THAT YOU DIDNT KNOW WHAT YOU WERE DOING. DID YOU USE A HVLP GUN DID YOU HAVE A PRESSURE REGULATOR IN LINE? ITS BETTER TO FIND THIS STUFF OUT BEFRE YOU PAINT!!!
